‘Promoting Cultural Awareness amongst challenging staff’
Association of International Student Advisers (AISA)
Show details
Working with staff from over 20 different UK universities, this one-day think-shop© was designed to build the confidence, skills and knowledge needed to promote cultural awareness amongst groups that are perceived as challenging. Delegates were able to try and test out a range of training activities and explore how these could meet specific learning aims and the needs of specific groups. Another key part of the day was to give delegates the opportunity to share experiences and practical ideas with peers and thinkingpeople trainers.
- “Kathryn and Jo have lots of experience in this field, they are dynamic trainers and never fail to inspire. I normally expect to come away from a course with 2 new ideas… after a thinkingpeople training both briefcase and brain are bulging with new things to try and different ways of looking at the world.”
Nicola Peacock, Internationalisation Development Manager & AISA Training Manager
